A Rollin’ Stone Gathers No Moss
Rooted in Zhengzhou.
For 21 years, I was Zhengzhou’s most loyal stone. Anchored by family, schoolyard friends, and an obsession with strategy games. I love solo victories in Plants vs. Zombies or Clash of Clans, but nothing beats watching my friends “voluntarily” hand over their last Monopoly dollar (love ya, guys).
Staying rooted grew tiresome, so we rolled a lot: soaking up sunbaths on Sanya’s beaches, hiking snow-capped peaks in Sichuan, and wandering through forests split by Sanxia Canyon. But just like a good game of Clash of Clans, no matter how far I ventured, I always respawned back home. It felt like I’d never found a reason to roll long enough. Until I stepped into that classroom.

Surprise, surprise – It was the Foundation of PR! When Prof. Zhang called PR just a game, “using media, trust, and values to win hearts,” my mind sparked. Wait, I knew those games: plants fending off zombies, hotels bankrupting opponents – pure strategy and the drive to win.
The day, I knew I’d found my reason.

Roll Model.

Frankly speaking, I literally had no idea where to land when I first rolled into PR. But learning by practicing could never be wrong:
First stop: BCW. Where I managed Dyson’s accounts and ghostwrote KOLs’ social media content. Fresh vibes, fast pace. Spinning 12 posts across 3 categories from just 1 piece of material. Creative? Sure. Exhausting? Absolutely. But pulling off Dyson’s book launch with over 9M impressions? That felt like a good calling.
Next up: Golin Harris. Business team, sounded smart! Which turned out to be a PowerPoint jail. Investor decks. Policy articles. Promotion posters. My slides flew faster than my motivation. I really missed the thrill of event launches and big ideas.
Then came The Hoffman Agency. B2B. Brainstorms. Actual strategy. Suddenly, I’m pitching LALIGA, building expo booths at CIIE, and crafting campaigns that won. For once, I wasn’t just collating data; I was writing plans that mattered. And that victory email from the General Manager? Pure adrenaline IV drip.
It felt right, but the game’s not over. There’s still space to learn, levels to unlock, and a whole lotta grind ahead.
And I’m ready to roll deeper.

Keep Rollin’.
We all know USC has the best PR program around the globe, right? The competition is fierce, but I’d rather roll the dice than gather moss, so here I am.
LA life feels like a cheat mode activated. Here, I mine insights form data, connect with people worldwide, team up to dream up killer campaigns. And oh, I’m a hiker now! From Mount Hood’s icy layer to Joshua Tree’s cactus riddles, I decode trailheads like audience analytics.
But deep down, I’m still that kid from Zhengzhou who treats life like one giant strategy game. LA is just my latest respawn point.
Game on. Mission unchanged. Keep Rollin’.
