A Rollin’ Stone Gathers No Moss

Rooted in Zhengzhou.

For 21 years, I was Zhengzhou’s most loyal stone. Anchored by family, schoolyard friends, and an obsession with strategy games. I love solo victories in Plants vs. Zombies or Clash of Clans, but nothing beats watching my friends “voluntarily” hand over their last Monopoly dollar (love ya, guys).

Staying rooted grew tiresome, so we rolled a lot: soaking up sunbaths on Sanya’s beaches, hiking snow-capped peaks in Sichuan, and wandering through forests split by Sanxia Canyon. But just like a good game of Clash of Clans, no matter how far I ventured, I always respawned back home. It felt like I’d never found a reason to roll long enough. Until I stepped into that classroom.

Surprise, surprise – It was the Foundation of PR! When Prof. Zhang called PR just a game, “using media, trust, and values to win hearts,” my mind sparked. Wait, I knew those games: plants fending off zombies, hotels bankrupting opponents – pure strategy and the drive to win.

The day, I knew I’d found my reason.
